Dog Behaviour: For Kids!

Your kids don’t seem to have that special bond with your family dog. When they play together, either the dog or the kids end up upset or over excited. Your children don’t understand when your dog is saying “leave me alone”, and you worry that one day, another dog won’t be so tolerant… It’s so difficult to have young children and dogs at the same time, but the best solution for you is for your children to understand dog behaviour. And it doesn’t have to be difficult or boring! Here’s what life could look like: Your children could be understanding of your dog, and listen to them (and other dogs!) when they have had enough. Your kids will enjoy playing positive and safe games with your dog, and your dog will be mentally and physically stimulated without you having to put in the extra work! Your dog will develop a strong bond with your children, and they’ll grow up to be the best of friends. So, how is this possible? I’ll give you various ways of helping children understand dog behaviour. I’ll teach your and your kids the “dog consent test”, helping them understand when a dog says ‘I’ve had enough’. I’ll give you some suggested household rules that will help give you some better safety measures. You’ll get a game to play with the kids: What your dog is and isnt allowed to eat. You’ll get a list of children-friendly games for your children to play with your dog. You’ll get x5 “Make your own DIY dog toys”, all suitable for children to make and play with.
