Training for Teenagers
The Dreaded Teenager Stage!
(6 Months to 3 Years)
Your dog has suddenly forgotten recall and the rest of the world is so exciting for them?
"My lovely puppy has turned into a hyperactive land-shark!"
If your dog seems to have forgotten everything, have a lack of focus, or they have developed the common issue of 'selective hearing', you're not alone. This is typical teenage dog chaos that CAN be helped! I have lots of course options that will help you navigate this period without losing your mind.
Hannah is amazing!! We have used her twice for both our girls. We have learnt so much and the training Hannah does is a breath of fresh air. Positive reinforcement and two dogs that are always switched on wanting to engage in training. We have two well mannered Labradors which is all down to Hannah’s training, tips and advice. I wouldn’t ever want anyone else involved in our dogs training as Hannah has got it right from the moment she met our girls and will not hesitate to ask for advice in future. Thank you as always from our family!

Guided Support
Troublesome Teenagers to Perfect Pooches!
About the program:
When our dogs hit about 6 months old, they enter into the next stage of their lives: The dreaded 'teenager' stage. This is where they start to show unwanted behaviours, including things like chewing and jumping, which you thought you'd already got over!
During this stage, your dog is learning that it's okay to ignore mum and dad sometimes, and that there is some really exciting stuff in the world! Just like in humans, teenage dogs are seen as stubborn and naughty, and this stage can last until your dog is about 2 years old, so it's important that you get some help before it gets too bad!

I would definitely recommend Hannah, she helped us so much, after just one session my staffy was walking brilliant on his leads, his greeting people at the house was a nightmare Hannah showed us a technique that really worked, she also helped us with recall which is coming on nicely. Thankyou Hannah x

Behaviour Change Takes Time
The teenage stage is definitely the hardest stage, and although I can help you make it easier, it is important to know that regression is normal, and behaviour can sometimes temporarily worsen due to other factors, such as hormones and socialisation.
This stage is difficult, but it is developmentally normal. Set backs, regressions, and your dog's inconsistency is NOT bad training - it is normal. As long as YOU are consistent, calm, and confident, your dog will follow your lead.
